    COVID19 Infection Prevention and Control for the Aged Care Sector

    Older persons living in institutional care or residential care facilities are the group most vulnerable to COVID-19 deaths. There are an estimated 1,400 residential aged care facilities with 30,000 residents in Malaysia. Most of these homes are unregistered and have issues with overcrowding and understaffing. This training module is commission by the World Health Organization to help train the care workers at Malaysian aged care facilities to prevent our home from being ravaged by COVID-19.  There will be a total of 10 modules, each module delivered through combinations of narrated power point slides (of 5-10-minute length), three-minute videos, infographics, and simulations. All modules will comprise pre-and-post assessments comprising 10 T/F MCQs selected randomly from a pool of 30 questions. The modules are aimed at care workers of aged care facilities, some of whom will have minimal educational qualification and others, foreign workers, with limited command of English and Malay. The module, therefore, will need to be available in Malay, Chinese and Tamil in addition to the English language.

    Semiconductor Technology

    The course covers the manufacturing practices used in silicon integrated circuit fabrication. Physical models are developed to explain basic fabrication steps of semiconductor devices.  Students are also exposed to discrete and integrated circuit device design and VLSI processing technologies.

    1. Analyse basic semiconductor wafer processing steps in each process modules (C5)
    2. Apply the knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing in semiconductor device fabrication (CS)
    3. Explain the related processing technology in semiconductor manufacturing process (A3, CTPS)
